Photos: The little boy with skin as fragile as butterfly wings

In the bath, four-year-old Brody Curtis cries inconsolably, his whole body shaking in pain. His body is covered with deep blistering wounds that will never heal. Brody suffers epidermolysis bullosa (EB), also known as the 'butterfly disease' and has to take a cocktail of drugs to ease his daily agony. The condition means he is unable to walk, stand or crawl, and is unlikely to live beyond the age of 20. He must be wrapped from head to toe in bandages, and placed in a medicinal bath for up to four hours three times a week – a process which is excruciating.More photos after the cut...
