Caitlyn Jenner has been nominated at Teen Choice Awards

The 65-year-old transgender star has been nominated at the upcoming Teen Choice Awards for Social Media Queen. Caitlyn goes up against Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, Nicki Minaj, Selena Gomez, and Taylor Swift in the same category. Upon the announcement Caitlyn tweeted: 'And to think I wouldn't have qualified for this nom a few months ago... What an honor! #TeenChoice #SocialMediaQueen'.

Jenner's nomination came after she took Twitter by storm and beat a record held by President Barack Obama.

She joined Twitter on June 1 the same day she made her debut as a woman on the cover of Vanity Fair and broke a Twitter record by gaining more than one million followers in just four hours.

It will be a family affair at the awards show as Kim Kardashian, 34, and half-sister Kylie Jenner, 17, were both nominated earlier this month in the new Choice Selfie Taker category announced during the second wave of nominations.

A British sperm donor fathers 10 children for strangers in 4 months

Kenzie Kilpatrick's eighth child was born last week. He is thrilled, showing a picture on his phone of the girl - as yet unnamed - who arrived on Tuesday, July 21, at 10.44am, weighing 6lb 15oz.

He reads out a message from the mother, which says: 'I'm so happy to tell you that our little miracle baby girl is here. All thanks to you. She is beautiful.'. 

The 26-year-old looks as proud as any new dad, but Kenzie will play no further part in this child's life. Nor will he be a parent to his 7 other biological children - all born, one after the other, in the past 3 months or the 2 who are due any time now. So, 3 daughters, 5 sons, including twin boys, and counting. Half-siblings who share their father's DNA, but not each other's lives or indeed Kenzie's continued presence as they grow up

Kenzie, a single gay man, this week emerged as one of Britain's most prolific freelance sperm donors. Dubbed 'the Sperminator' by one radio station, at this rate - 10 babies in fewer than 4 months - he could father 300 children in a decade.

'When the last 2 babies are born, I will have fathered 10 children, all under 4 months old. It's amazing and I feel so proud,' says Kenzie, who has taken the rare step of speaking publicly about the hidden world of independent sperm donors.

So far he has helped 9 lesbian couples and1 heterosexual couple to become parents.

'It feels fantastic to have helped so many people in such a short space of time, but I've decided to stop for now. I may help provide siblings to my existing couples, but while I would never say never, I'm not on a mission to populate the world.'

Kenzie, who says he accepts no payment other than travel expenses, recites the name of each of his genetic children as he counts them on his fingers, but adds: 'Please don't ask me their birthdates. There are too many of them, I get confused and really they're not my kids. Any man can father a child, but it takes a parent to love them and bring them up. I see them as donations.'

Ever since Kenzie first offered his services for free in June last year via his Facebook group, called Drama Free UK Sperm Donors, he says he has been inundated with hundreds of requests from women desperate for a child.

Senate probes 22 Senators over alleged plot to sabotage Pres. Buhari

Following a newspaper publication, alleging that 22 northern senators of the APC, who took part in the vote of confidence on the Senate President and other leaders of the Senate, were plotting to frustrate the present administration, the Senate has directed its Committee on Ethics and Privilege to investigate the allegations.

The Guardian reports 

The alleged report reads: “Twenty-two northern senators elected on the All Progressives Congress (APC) platform have been identified as teaming up with the opposition to work against President Muhammadu Buhari and the ruling party. “The senators allegedly teamed up with 46 Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) senators in the Red Chamber to pass a confidence vote in the leadership of the Senate under Dr. Bukola Saraki and Ike Ekweremadu, a PDP senator. “Thirty-five APC senators were among the 81 who purportedly endorsed the vote of confidence in the principal officers of the Senate.”

The report added that 22 out of the senators were from the North and were consequently accused of working against the party on which platform they were elected into the National Assembly.

Rauf Aregbesola- Why I can’t pay workers salaries

Osun State governor Rauf Aregbesola says the drop in allocations to the state from the Federation Account is largely responsible for his inability to pay his state civil servants their salaries. Aregbesola said this after he received an award by the Voice of African Women for Human Dignity, an NGO at Abuja yesterday July 24th.

"I have found it hard to pay the wage bills owing to the declining federal allocation to the state. Federal allocation to the state has reduced by 40 per cent since 2013, thereby making it difficult for my government to meet its responsibilities,” he said.

MEND members meeting with Tompolo stopped as soldiers seal off meeting venue

The proposed MEND meeting scheduled to hold this morning did not hold as soldiers reportedly sealed off the Ijaw House, venue of the proposed meeting on the orders of the state governor, Dickson Seriake. Sources at the governors office say Seriake had sent a letter to MEND members proposing to meet with them at a later date to discuss their grievances. The group, through its spokesperson, Eric Omare, released a statement condemning the soldiers invasion of Ijaw House. 

The statement read "The Ijaw Youth Council Worldwide condemn in the strongest terms the military invasion of Ijaw House, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State; the administrative headquarters of the Ijaw National Congress the Ijaw Youth Council and housing the Bayelsa State Ministry of Ijaw National Affairs and Culture. A combined team of military and police officers in the early hours of Friday, the 24th of July, 2015 invaded and took over Ijaw House, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State to prevent ex-Niger Delta agitators from having their proposed meeting on Saturday, the 25th of July, 2015. This is illegal, unconstitutional and a draw back to the dark days of military dictatorship where Nigerians were deprived of their fundamental rights. The IYC wishes to remind the President and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, that we are in a constitutional democracy where things are done according to law. The fears of many Nigerians that General Buhari would take Nigeria back to the dark days of dictatorship where there is no regard for human rights are coming to reality. The IYC has it on good authority that President Buhari has an agenda to bomb and destroy the Niger-Delta region especially the Ijaw areas. The military movement into the Niger Delta region we have been reliably informed would commence this week.”

Nick Cannon thought he was a superhero until he landed on a hospital bed. The father of two was rushed to hospital on Wednesday, July 22 due to fatigue.Reports say the self- acclaimed superhero's extremely busy work schedule led to his bad health. Cannon posted a pic of himself in a hospital bed, hooked up to a bunch of monitors. He wasn't specific about what's ailing him ... but hinted it had something to do with exhaustion.The "America's Got Talent" host said, ''Dont worry, Temporary pit stop... US military planes flies to Kenya ahead of Obama's visit; PHOTOS

19 Kenyan students suspended for arguing in support of gay rights in a debate contest

19 students of St Mary's Kibabi Boys High School in Kenya were suspended for arguing in favour of gay rights during a debate. According to Nation FM, the opponents in the debate accused the students of being homosexuals as they were very passionate in their defense of homosexuality during the school debate. The 19 suspended students are now being investigated by the school authority.

Popular Rapper Young Thug and Birdman allegedly planned to kill Lil Wayne

 The CEO Cash Money Entertainment, Bryan 'Birdman' Williams, rapper Young Thug and other members of their entourage have been named in an indictment alleging their conspiracy to kill rapper Lil Wayne over a business dispute. According to WSBTV, Channel 2 Action News has uncovered an indictment filed in Cobb County in June that alleges Williams and another rapper named Bryan Williams, aka Birdman, were involved in a RICO conspiracy to kill Lil Wayne when his tour bus was shot up in April. The indictment also says all of the men are members of the Bloods gang. The indictment alleges that Dwayne Carter (Lil Wayne) and Bryan Williams (Birdman) had a business dispute concerning Lil Wayne's contract with Cash Money Records. Lil Wayne owns a portion of the record label. Birdman is one of the co-founders of the record label. Lil Wayne later dismissed the lawsuit “due to venue issues while problems continued between (Lil Wayne) and (Birdman).” The indictment alleges that Young Thug made a threat against Lil Wayne and tour bus shooting suspect Jimmy Winfrey carried out that threat. Winfrey is also known as "PeeWee Roscoe" and affiliated with Rich Gang. Birdman is a part of the Rich Gang rap group which was formed by Cash Money Records in 2013. The indictment goes on to say that Winfrey was driving the white Chevy Camaro that fired shots at Lil Wayne’s tour buses the night of April 26 after a police escort left the buses. “After Atlanta Police discontinued their escort, (Winfrey) and fellow Blood Gang members entered Interstate 285 from Atlanta Road in Cobb County in pursuit of the buses occupied by (Lil Wayne’s) group,” the indictment says. “(That’s when) the white sports car pulled beside the buses, shots were then fired into the buses from the sports car with a .40 caliber handgun and a 9mm handgun.” The indictment goes on to say Winfrey had a photo of the Camaro posted on his Instagram account and attempted to erase it following the shooting. The Camaro was later found at the home of one of Winfrey’s relatives. Young Thug and Birdman have not been charged in the incident. Winfrey’s next court appearance is Friday.

Robbers invaded Chris Brown's house, steal $1m worth of art, jewels as they held his aunt hostage

Police hold three men 'plotting Al Qaeda terror strike in the UK

A man suspected of plotting a domestic Al Qaeda-inspired terror strike screamed ‘cowards’ at police as he was arrested yesterday. Eyewitnesses described the suspect being dragged away by masked plain clothes police officers from the offices of a healthcare giant. The dramatic scene took place at medical supplies distributor Alliance Healthcare in Letchworth, Hertfordshire, where he is believed to have worked as a driver.Two other men, aged in their 20s and 30s rescpectively, were arrested in simultaneous operations at separate homes in Luton, just 13 miles away. Security sources said police were forced to act over a ‘fairly advanced’ suspected Islamist conspiracy aimed at an unknown British target. Unusually, the conspiracy was not connected to the bloodshed in Syria or the rampant Islamic State propaganda machine. Instead investigators are understood to be probing potential links between the men and an Al Qaeda-inspired cell in Pakistan.
